izec.ai (“We”, “Us”, “Our”, or the “Application”) is an AI solution provided as a Chrome extension that processes certain text content (copied and pasted by the user from chat interfaces). We attach great importance to your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains the types of data we collect, how we use it, and the measures we take to protect it.

This Privacy Policy covers the data collected and processed by the izec.ai Chrome extension (hereafter referred to as the “Service”). By using this Service, you agree to the practices described herein.

Text Inputs

• We collect text that users copy from their chat interfaces and paste into izec.ai.
• These text inputs are processed to enable features such as chatbot functionalities, automatic summarization, knowledge base responses, tone adjustment, translation, and text rephrasing.

User Identifiable Information

• In practice, we store only the user’s email address (when they register via email) and related basic information in a cookie for login verification purposes. No further personal details are collected.

3. Data Storage and Processing

• All user text inputs are stored securely on izec.ai servers, solely for the purpose of providing the Service’s features.
• We do send text prompts to OpenAI’s API to process certain requests (e.g., summarization, rephrasing). However, we anonymize or strip any personal identifiers before sending.
• No personal user data (such as email, names, or unique IDs) is included in these prompts.
• We may log user interactions (e.g., whether an answer was helpful or not) to improve the system.
• We also store the questions (text inputs) themselves, along with the organization’s or company’s OpenAI API key (if applicable).
• No automatic transfer of data to external servers or third-party storage services occurs, except when the user explicitly integrates their own corporate knowledge base or external API.
• The data is processed solely for the core functionality of the izec.ai extension (chatbot responses, summarization, knowledge base queries, etc.).

4. Purposes for Data Usage

1. Chatbot and Automatic Summaries
   To understand and summarize the content of the text.
2. Knowledge Base Responses
   To provide relevant answers from the user’s (or their organization’s) knowledge base.
3. Tone Adjustment and Translation
   To modify the tone of the text or translate it between different languages.
4. Rephrasing
   To restructure or rephrase text content.
5. Performance and Improvement
   To use anonymous data for product development and troubleshooting.

5. Legal Basis

Because izec.ai does not collect any personal data beyond a minimal login credential (email) and does not store or process sensitive personal information, it is generally not classified as a “personal data controller” under applicable laws (e.g., KVKK, GDPR).

• Users are advised not to share confidential or personal information in their chat inputs. If they do, they bear full responsibility for such disclosure.

6. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services

1. Data Sharing
   • izec.ai does not sell or share collected text inputs for commercial purposes or targeted advertising.
   • In case of corporate integrations (e.g., connecting to an in-house API), text inputs will only be sent to that corporate system if the user requests it.
2. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
   • Izec.ai uses cookies solely for system login and to verify user information.
   • Thus, we do not track user behavior or place cookies for advertising purposes.
3. Encrypted Passwords
   • Any login credentials stored (e.g., email and password) are hashed and encrypted following industry standards.

7. Data Security

• Data is stored under standard security measures provided by Chrome’s infrastructure (for the extension) and izec.ai’s servers.
• izec.ai employs generally accepted technical and organizational measures to protect data; however, no data transmitted over the internet or stored in the cloud can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

8. Children’s Privacy

• izec.ai does not target users under the age of 18.
• If such usage is detected, the relevant data may be removed or access restricted, if deemed necessary.

9. Data Subject Rights

• Since izec.ai does not collect extensive personal data, typical data rights (e.g., access, deletion, rectification) under KVKK or GDPR generally do not apply in full.
• Users may clear the extension’s settings or Chrome’s stored data at any time to remove previous text inputs or user login credentials.

• Our Privacy Policy may change from time to time. We will notify users of any updates by publishing the revised policy on this page.
